OUR PROCESS

The Roadmap

Our roadmap is simple, clear and precise, ensuring we take the right steps at the right time so all students receive the benefits and all teachers feel supported.

Roadmap for success

We have a simple and highly effective Roadmap for implementation success.

This provides clarity and ensures we all know:

  • Where we are going
  • Where we are currently in the implementation process
  • What we need to be doing
  • What the roles and expectations of all are
  • How we can measure our progress
  • Our next steps.

Hoping that PD is enacted in the classroom is not an effective strategy."

How the Concordis Implementation Process Works

Key questions which drive this phase include:

  • Where are we now?
  • Where do we aspire to go?
  • How might we get there?
  • Where are we already succeeding?
  • What training do our teachers need?

Needs Analysis

Triangulation of internal data, stakeholder voice and expert observation leads to a report outlining successes and recommended areas of focus.

Project Plan

Co-developed with leaders, this maps out the what, the when, the how and the success criteria for our project. Roles for leaders and teachers established.

Teacher & Leader Training

Whole Staff workshop to ensure shared understandings and purposes.

Team- based workshops/ masterclasses to meet the specific needs of each teaching group.

Leadership training in methods and processes to support implementation.

Key questions which drive this phase include:

  • Which early adopters can help lead?
  • Where are we seeing early and immediate success?
  • When can teachers share practice?
  • What impact are we having?
  • What support does each team require?

Trial agreed practices

Teachers enact practices in the classroom, depending on their level of experience and expertise.

Collect data, feedback & artefacts

Leaders actively gather evidence of the practice through walkthroughs, student interviews, teacher feedback and student learning artefacts.

Teacher upskilling workshops

After initial trial, teachers engage in further team-based workshops, reflecting on   successes and challenges and determining their own learning needs & goals.

Key questions which drive this phase include:

  • What examples of excellence are we collecting?
  • Do we have clear success criteria?
  • What routines do we need to adopt?
  • Do we need to make timetable or structural changes?
  • When is our Learning Fair?

Complete integration of practice

School agrees how this practice can and should look when fully implemented. Teachers incorporate this into daily classroom learning routines.

Teacher handbook updated

Leaders use agreements, artefacts and teacher voice to co-construct outline of key practice and insert this into the school’s pedagogical handbook.

Learning Fair

Leaders and teachers gather to celebrate the journey and showcase the growth and learning from the process. Initial data and evidence are compared to current data & evidence.

As an executive, we now have a shared understanding and know what actions we need to take. Thank you for another great day to develop our knowledge & understanding."
